Ayatollah Ramazani

Secretary-General of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly stated, “The event of Ashura is a sensory and intellectual miracle, and a reason to prove the existence of God and resurrection. Ashura provides us with a correct understanding of life, prosperity, and felicity.”

Hawzah News Agency- At the “Maʿrifa of Ashura” ceremony in Afakhra Mosque in Rasht, while offering condolences on the occasion of Muharram and mourning days of Imam Hussain (a.s.), Ayatollah Reza Ramazani stated, “We need to redefine the event of Ashura, and with correct narration, remove the superstitions and distortions in this regard.”

Stating that the correct understanding of Ashura shows that it is a miracle, the Secretary-General of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly added, “Understanding Ashura close us to God. It is a proof of the existence of God and resurrection.”

“Sensory miracles increase human faith. “Yad al-Baydha” (Shining hand: According to Quran Moses ordered to insert his hand into his clothes and when he revealed it, it shines a bright light), “Dividing the Sea” (another miracle of Prophet Moses), “Bringing the dead back to life” (Jesus’ miracle) etc., were some of the sensory miracles of divine prophets,” he clarified.

“The miracles were not the content of the call of the prophets, but signs for the acceptance of the prophets by the people,” Ayatollah Ramazani added, “The content of the call of the prophets was ethics, faith, human education, closeness to God, etc.”

“The event of Ashura has the potential to bring us to God by analyzing it. Many people like to get to know the content of this school. Ashura is a sensory and intellectual miracle,” said the representative of the people of Gilan in the Assembly of Leadership Experts.

“In the event of Ashura, a large crowd stood against a few and committed many crimes. During the event, the purest people, including children, were martyred, and captured,” he mentioned.

“The desire for power and wealth sometimes causes people to commit the worst crimes, “Ayatollah Ramazani said, “The thirst for power, position and leadership reached such a level that it caused the martyrdom of the purest people on the Day of Ashura.”

“Today, mankind has a duty to stand against the insult to humanity, God, religion and truth. These are the bitter scenes of history,” added the Secretary-General of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly.

“God revealed the Quran so that man knows the right path and reaches the destination. Prophets also sent by God to stop humanity from worshiping Satan and invite them to worship God and guide them to the path of felicity,” he mentioned.

“Attending the mourning ceremonies of Imam Hussain (a.s.) and shedding tears for his sufferings is necessary, but not sufficient,” Ayatollah Ramazani stated, “Attending the AhlulBayt (a.s.) ceremonies is the beginning of responsibility, and after that, we must gain knowledge about our time and saints of God (Imams).”

“If religion emerges in social sphere, both individual and social reform will be achieved. Today the enemies are fighting against God’s religion and limiting it. The humanism system prevents humans to be monotheistic and evolve,” added the representative of the people of Gilan in the Assembly of Leadership Experts.

“A person’s internal impression of Ashura should have an external manifestation in the form of responsibility and faith. Our inner impression of the event of Ashura is in the form of monotheism, and its external manifestation is the achievement of justice and insight,” he mentioned.

“Hazrat Abu al-Fadl Al-Abbas (a.s.) had both strong faith and the necessary insight. All of us are subject to the divine test. We must know our position and our relationship with God’s saints (Imams),” Ayatollah Ramazani stressed.

The modernity world seeks to expand welfare. However, thought, ethics, politeness, reasoning and thinking also need to be developed. Ashura event provides us with a correct understanding of life, prosperity, and felicity,” said the Secretary-General of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly.

“Ashura teaches people the best lessons and the highest type of life. It teaches us to live well and die well,” he said in the end.
